February 21, 2015 - 15th Annual Orlando Wetlands Festival.  9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Fort Christmas Historical Park, 1300 N. Fort Christmas Road, Christmas FL.  Exhibits, door prizes, tree giveaway, live music, hayrides, hikes, bus tours, live animal demonstrations, and more.  Information:  407-568-1706.  Free.  See flyer for details.

February 28, 2015 - Sixth Annual Florida Scrub-Jay Festival.  10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Merritt Island NWR Visitor Center, SR 405, 5 miles east of the intersection of US 1 and SR 406 in Titusville.  Live music, nature tours, live animals displays, exhibits, presentations and games for children.  Free.  Visit the website for details.

March 11-16, 2015 - Big "O" Birding Festival in Hendry County.  The "O" refers to Lake Okeechobee.  Targets birds like Snail Kite, Purple Swamphen and Scissor-tailed Flycatcher are regularly found.  See the website for details.  Trips to STA# 5 are available.
