Saturday, October 10:
  Marine Discovery Center Open House, 520 Barracuda Blvd, New Smyrna Beach, FL.  10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  Free.  Demonstrations, vendors, events for kids.

Saturday, October 24:  4th Annual Tomoka Fest.  10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Tomoka State Park, 2099 North Beach Street, Ormond Beach.  Bring the family for a day of learning about history and the environment.  Meet live birds of prey and gators.  Listen to music and storytellers, ride the tram, visit exhibits, join guided hikes.  Food and beverage available for purchase, canoe/kayak rentals, etc.  Park entrance fees apply.  State Park pass holders enter free.

Friday, October 30:  Candlelight Halloween Trail Walk at Bulow Ruins.  5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park, 33501 Old Kings Road, Flagler Beach.  Living history re-enactors tell the story of Bulowville.  Halloween fun, costume contest, family fun.  Park entrance fees apply.  State Park pass holders enter free.

Friday, November 6:  ShORE 2015 – “Sharing Our Research with Everyone” – will be held at the News-Journal Center of Daytona State College, located at 221 N. Beach Street in Daytona Beach.  The program is a day-long event beginning with general registration at 8:30 am.  Hosted by the Daytona State College Institute of Marine and Environmental Studies (IMES), the Marine Discovery Center in New Smyrna Beach and the Florida Section of the American Water Resources Association (AWRA), ShORE 2015 is free and open to the public.  Click the link to register.

Saturday, February 20, 2016:  Orlando Wetlands Park Festival, 1300 North Fort Christmas Road, Christmas, FL (Orange Co.) 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Guided bird walks, guided bus tours & hayrides, Florida Native Plant Society hikes, photography tips, interactive children's activities, wildlife demonstrations.  Entry is free to the whole family.  No pets!
