Marine Discovery Center Open House 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.  520 Barracuda Blvd, New Smyrna Beach, FL  Celebrate Florida's coastal ecosystems.  Kid's arts, crafts & face painting, photographs with a mermaid, live hawk & owl demonstration, bird rescue clinic, marine touch tanks, kayak clinic.  All free.

Saturday, May 23Ormond Beach Historical Society "Discover our History" lecture series at Anderson-Price Memorial Building, 42 N. Beach Street, Ormond Beach.  James "Zach" Zacharias, Education Curator at Museum of Arts & Sciences in Daytona Beach, presents "John James Audubon:  The Artist Scientist in Florida."  9:30 refreshments; 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. presentation.  Free admission.
