Join Halifax River Audubon and leader Joan Tague as we explore the park trails looking for resident and migrant birds in this beautiful park along Pellicer Creek.
Directions
Take Interstate 95 to exit 298 which is US 1. Go north on US 1 for 300 yards and turn right on Faver-Dykes Road. Go 1.5 miles on Faver-Dykes Road to Faver-Dykes State Park. We will meet at the parking lot by the picnic pavilion and the dock by the creek.
As always, pack snacks, lunch if planning to stay longer, bug spray, proper clothing including a nice hat and shoes for hikes along trails that are mostly dry. Terrain is flat and often in oak stands and salt marsh edge.
