LOCATION:Tomoka State Park, 2099 N. Beach Street, Ormond Beach FL 32174

DESCRIPTION: This is a special field trip experience that will serve as our monthly program. You can choose to participate in the bird walks and the formal program, or attend one or the other. We hope to see you throughout the day! Join Halifax River Audubon as we ramble several locations along the Tomoka River and Bulow Creek searching for spring migrants. Binoculars are a must as we look for small birds foraging in the trees as they fuel up for their epic journeys. We will meet in the first parking lot past the check-in booth at Tomoka State Park. Pack water, snacks, bug spray and sunscreen. Prepare for uneven and possibly muddy trails. We will explore several trails, first in Tomoka State Park, then along trails on Bulow Creek and finally at the ruins at Bulow Creek State Park. \n You may want to pack a lunch and hang around... \n An afternoon program will be offered by the park at Bulow Creek State Park focusing on the travels of John James Audubon and his time spent in the area that we will be exploring on the hikes. It is free to the public. You are encouraged to stay and learn more about Audubon's work influenced by the time spent in our area so many years ago. \n \n
