Event Description

Waterfowl season peaks at this time of year at the refuge. The variety of raptors increases and there are always surprises. The White Pelicans are in the middle of avian feeding frenzies as the ponds dry down. Bobcats? Rails? Hogs? We will carpool to the refuge and drive and walk various locations throughout the refuge, with emphasis on the Wildlife Drive. Fees required at some locations - Wildlife Drive and Canaveral National Seashore. Bring any federal passes that you may have for entrance to these type of facilities.

Bring water, snacks and lunch. We will picnic by at the visitor center
