Event Description

Reddish EgretJoin Halifax River Audubon for a morning walk through the park and along the jetty, beach and back to the Halifax River to scan the rocks and sandbars. If time allows, we may stop at Ponce Preserve Park after leaving the park to check the oak trees for migrants. Dress for the weather - cold, hot, sun, clouds. Bring sunscreen water and snacks. Photo opportunities abound at this location. There is an entry fee for the park. If you have the annual county beach park pass - you are good to go.

Lighthouse Point Park is a 52-acre inlet park located along the northern shoreline of Ponce de Leon Inlet. The park has elevated wooden boardwalks and restrooms. The park is reached using the bridge at Dunlawton Avenue in Port Orange to beachside then driving south until the end of the road.
