For the month of February, Halifax river Audubon will be exploring sections of Tomoka and Bulow Creek State Parks. Gate B12 is on the south side of Walter Boardman Road just west of Bulow Creek. It is one of the entrances to the Bulow Creek Trail. The habitat includes pine flat woods, open marsh and creek views.
Prepare for a trail walk - sturdy shoes, sun screen, bug spray, hat, optics, camera, snacks if needed. Monitor conditions. There may be some wet and muddy spots after rains.
Parking is along the road. There is pull-off space available. We will meet at the gate. No entrance fee is required. We will proceed south from this point on the trail.
