For the month of February, Halifax river Audubon will be exploring sections of Tomoka and Bulow Creek State Parks. The historic Bulow Plantation Ruins are located in Flagler County on Bulow Creek. The property also features a hiking trail through mixed forest. John James Audubon visited this location and this image is believed to have been sketched at this location. Who doesn't want to see the Tell-Tale Snipe? Well, maybe a Greater Yellowlegs. This location features mature pine and a trail through a mixed forest, creek views and of course, a parking lot.
Prepare for a trail walk - sturdy shoes, sun screen, bug spray, hat, optics, camera, snacks if needed. Monitor conditions. There may be some wet and muddy spots after rains.
The parking lot is about 1/2 mile off Old Kings Road.
There is a $4.00 entrance fee for the park. Exact change required. State Park pass accepted. Fee is paid at honor station at entrance. Meet in the parking lot by the program building
