Halifax River Audubon will partner with the

Ormond Beach Environmental Discovery Center for the

Great Backyard Bird Count

This an event for the whole family featuring bird walks, games, crafts, exhibits and more focusing on the birds in Central Park. There will be a field book challenge where participants fill out the books and get their very own rubber ducky! Look through binoculars and spotting scopes to see birds up close and personal. While we are having all of this fun, we will be documenting the birds in the park and entering our observations in a global database.

We can use volunteers to help with the event!

This is a one day, 5 hour commitment.  The event is scheduled on Saturday, February 17, 2024. There may be a work session or two to get the event ready. Joan Tague and Catherine Kellogg are the coordinators for the event. We need folks to man the booths and guide folks along the trails.

If you cannot help with the event, we hope you will attend and will let your friends and neighbors know about it, especially the kids.
