HRA Chapter Meeting - Florida's Neighborhood Bats

Date:
3/20/2023 at 6:45 PM to 8:30 PM

Event Description

RedBat

Bats are the primary predators of night flying insects, eating many of the bugs that bug us. Some folks find them creepy. If you are one of those people, or are a big fan of the flying mammal, then this presentation is for you!

Join the Florida Bat Conservancy as we expose the myths and misconceptions that surround bats.  Learn the environmental and economic value that bats bring to our lives every day, and discover simple things anyone can do to help bats thrive in their neighborhood. Shari Blissett-Clark from the Florida Bat Conservatory will be the presenter, accompanied by a few friends...yes, live Florida bats will be displayed during the program."

Our meeting will be on-line. The "doors" open at 6:45pm with the presentation beginning at 7:00PM. There will be a short meeting after the presentation, with more news on our exciting event for April. Also, we will be discussing field trip opportunities. What are you favorite places? We have several in mind. We are also looking for suggestion for an in-person meeting in May.
