Morning Beach Walk

Date:
4/5/2026 at 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

Event Description

Join Joan Tague and members of Halifax River Audubon for a leisurely morning walk on the sand in Ormond Beach. Learn about the birds that chase the waves, squabble, loaf and cruise along our shore in Volusia County. Gulls, terns, plovers, sandpipers and more visit the beaches every day. Spotting scopes will be on hand for up-close views of the birds. Check the weather and be prepared for that day’s beach conditions. Bring binoculars if available.

The parking lot at this location requires a $20.00 fee. A Volusia County parking permit is available for residents free of charge, Apply here for a permit if you have not already registered your license plate: https://www.parkvolusia.org/
Non-residents can also apply for an annual permit pass if you plan on parking at the beach lots often.
