Join us for a meet and greet - virtually.
In March, HRA suspended all face to face activities. Our chapter meetings and field trips were cancelled to the disappointment of our members. It was the right thing to do. We all needed the time to adjust to our new situation. There were a lot of questions. There was a lot of discussion. We learned a new way to “do business.”
Over the summer, the board has been meeting over Zoom in virtual sessions. Many of our members have participated in virtual club meetings and classes, as well. It enabled us to work on projects, complete classes and just keep in touch. The down side was not seeing our friends face-to-face, but the up side meant that we did not have to travel to a meeting and that we had all of our resources on hand in our libraries and offices. Another plus - distance doesn't matter!
Our first chapter meeting this year will be a virtual one, featuring Michael Brothers on September 21. In advance of that meeting, we are offering this ZOOM session as a way to become familiar with the application. We want to see you! Be prepared to share a story or a picture, play bird trivia and just catch up with other HRA members. Have a suggestion about how we might conduct business in the current situation? - let's hear it! Got a bird question - someone will have an answer. Seeing great stuff in other parts of the country - tell everyone about it.
This session will be conducted over ZOOM and you will need to let us know that you want to participate. Just drop an email to the address below and tell us that you want to attend the Town Hall. Include your name and let us know if you have "ZOOM" experience. You will be sent instructions on where to download the free application and the meeting link and password.
