Event Description

Peregrine Falcon

This broad expanse of impoundments and open marshes attracts wintering, migrating and resident waterfowl and other wetland wildlife. It is a premiere waterfowl hunting area and an ideal location for fishing, wildlife viewing and other outdoor recreation.  The location is approximately 2 hours from our departure point. We will spend the morning driving through the property and stopping at "good" spots to scope for birds. There will be some walking along the roads.

Leader: David Hartgrove

Bring water, snacks, sun protection and especially a spotting scope if you have one.

We'll gather for a late lunch at the Marsh Landing Restaurant in nearby Fellsmere.
